After waking for quite sometime, Aku started to head home. Several minutes passed by and he felt a presence near by, he paused for a moment, observing his area as the presence was quite familiar. His head darted left seeing Kami on the floor crying. Confused and a bit disturbed, Akumatsu ran to aid Kamimatsu. “Ey what happened?!” He could already smell the wine, face cringing as it smelled too bitter for his liking.
“I tried.” he managed to say, neatly choking on his saliva. He couldn’t tell who was there, but if he had to guess…osomatsu? His head hurt. Sniffling loudly, Kami slowly sat up.
“No Kami…” ‘Damn, this guy was terrible’ Aku thought to himself, something must’ve really hit him hard to make him look so sick. “It’s Akumatsu, what happened ta ya?” He tilted Kami’s chin up wiping his tears away. “Do I need ta kick someone’s ass?” He gritted his teeth,
“Eh? Aku…?” it took him a moment to process this. “A-aku! Don’t beat anyone up!” he slurred a bit. “I uh..I’m…just..okay.”
“No ya not.” He stared down at Kami. “Why were ya drinkin’ out?” Aku gripped onto Kamimatsu’s arm, not pleased with Kami’s response.
“Um…’cause wanted to.” He was a bad liar. “Let go. I am okay, I swear…” He weakly tries to pull away from Aku.
Akumatsu sighed and picked up Kamimatsu bridal style as he walked ahead. “I’m takin’ ya home.” He stated before glancing at Kami. “When we reach ya home, you’re gonna tell me what’s up. If ya dun’ I’ll chain ya naked outside fa e’vry un’ ya see.” His words were harsh yes but Aku was very curious on how Kami ended up on the floor.
“I told you I was okay.” he sighed and leaned his head against aku’s chest.
“Ya know I can tell when ya lyin’ Kami cause ya suck at it.” Akumatsu shook his head, clearly telling Kami to ‘spill the beans now’. He clicked his tongue and noticed the house wasn’t that far from where they were. He walked along the side walk, seemingly taking his time doing so.
“Um…I was drinking wine..” he mumbled, trying to hide his face. “That’s not suspicious..”
“Trust me it is, we all know ya don’t drink just cause ya wanna.” They both reached the house, Aku using his foot to open the door. “Can ya explain ta me why? I’m not gonna stop askin’ until ya tell me.”
“…..” he pouted, refusing to answer him.
“I’m not gonna say…because you’ll laugh and stuff..”
“Dude really? If I laugh you can hit me wit the hardest object ya got.” Akumatsu raised his hand. “I’m sure I heard worse from otha people dude. Jus’ tell me.” Akumatsu finally placed Kami down on his lap, poking his nose right after.
“…..Totoko-sama rejected me…really badly too…” Kami spoke in a whisper, rubbing his eyes.
“Ah…” Akumatsu nodded. “Well a lotta the brothas got rejected by er’ but they still flirt with er’.” He tried to comfort Kami, rubbing his back gently.
“I know.” He lifted his head, looking tired. “But I’m not like that. I poured out my entire heart to her and she…” Kami cried softly.
Aku sighed, a bit uncomfortable with the situation. “Hey man cheer up… It’s gonna be alright…” He began to pet his head, wiping the tears away once again.
“I…I was a moron…t-to think I was good enough for her…” he pushed himself away from Aku and stumbled over to a nearby cupboard, looking for his ‘emotional drink’. He grabbed the first object he touched and sniffed at it. “I’m gonna drink until I forget so don’t stop me.”
