This Christmas let’s remember this fact…

I’m not even Christian and I still feel compelled to reblog geographically ethnically accurate Jesus

#athiestsforblackjesus

“Geographically ethnically accurate Jesus”?!?

I see no geographically ethnically accurate Jesus here.

Jesus was born and raised in first century Palestine. He wasn’t from Africa or Europe. An African Jesus is no more accurate than a European Jesus.

Jesus would have likely looked something like this:

I have to wonder why people are so uncomfortable with the idea of a Semitic Jesus,

I have to wonder why people are so uncomfortable with the idea of an ethnically Jewish Jesus.

No, actually, I don’t have to wonder, I know exactly why.

THANK YOU FINALLY GOD!! Im so sick of people making jesus white or black. He was middle eastern

To be fair, every group racially bends Jesus, God and angels into their own race.  If we’re talking about historical accuracy, then yeah, Jesus would’ve looked more like that than anything else.

But c’mon.

We have freaking Chinese Jesus.  This is sorta just something all human beings do.

And here’s Mexican Jesus
