Choromatsu blinked, before shaking his head. “Nothing is the matter…” he muttered, as his hand went up to hide the black eye. “It’s alright… just a fight…” Osomatsu never threw his punches around, and this one was his fault alone.
Kamimatsu looked worried. He usually stayed his distance, letting the others do what they will. But seeing Choromatsu hurt like that…
“L-let me buy you an ice back.”Choromatsu shook his head. “You don’t have to. I’ll let this heal by itself, but thank you, Kamimatsu.” He smiled gratefully at Kamimatsu. “You were always one of the softer ones.”
“But…it’s not good to leave a wound unhealed.” kamimatsu frowns more. “Please let me help?”
Choromatsu sighed. “Very well,” he said, smiling gratefully at Kamimatsu. “Thank you.”
Kamimatsu smiled. “Great! It’s no problem on my end, really. Now come, we have to go to the store.” He gently holds Choromatsu’s hand.
Choromatsu sighed, allowing himself to be taken along to the store. “… You know, I never really did understand why you did all of this. Being kind to us shitty assholes, you know?” he said quietly. “You could have saved all of it for someone else, but instead you show it to six shitty idiots who kill… And the six of us barely even know each other… You, I don’t know anyone who’s close to you.” Choromatsu fidgeted. “Even after the way we treated you….”
“Isn’t it the rule to treat others the way you wish to be treated? I just want peace and kindness in the world, and that won’t happen if I become just as selfish.” Kamimatsu smiled and walked into the store. He gave one cashier a sad look, silently asking them to not stare.
Choromatsu laughed weakly. “Funny how you say that, when you are in the mafia. Kind of contradictory, don’t you think?” Then again, Osomatsu never sent Kamimatsu out, always calling him weak and ignoring him outright, sometimes labeling him as a traitor.
He glowered at the cashier, daring them silently to speak up, before following after Kamimatsu.
“Mm, I’d think Osomatsu would say differently. Come, I’ll let you choose what ice pack you want.” He holds his golden smile, leading Choromatsu into the health isle.
“Hah! Osomatsu? He expects to be treated like the king when he doesn’t deserve his spot.” Choromatsu grumbled, losing his anger as he saw Kamimatsu smile. Dammit, why did Kamimatsu have to have the same effect on him like Jyushimatsu? He followed after, sighing deeply.
“Y’know, for you to do this… I’m grateful. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome. Don’t be afraid to ask me for help, alright?” He looked at the ice packs. “Do you want to pick out a shape or are you fine with any?”
“Any. I don’t have a particular need for a shape, and I really doubt Nyaa-chan has a icepack in her name.”
Choromatsu shrugged, his hands fingering his bruise again. He was lucky that Kamimatsu had came along to help him, if not, he might be in his lab writhing in pain and anger. Being with him, it made him calm.
“Alright. Here’s a green star. Perfect for you.” He took the green ice pack.
“Is there anything else you’d like me to buy or are we all set?”
“Green star? Kamimatsu, if you were Karamatsu I would have punched you,” Choromatsu groaned, then shook his head. “Nothing more, thank you.”
Kamimatsu gave a surprised/disgusted face when he heard Choromatsu say that, dropping the star pack like it was contaminated.
“I-I’ll get you the plain circle one then…ahem, let’s hurry and go…”
