He stared at them but nodded, “Sure, where do you want to go? Maybe the park or something?” He suggested. They looked like they need to calm down, so he tried to think of some other places.
He nodded.
“The park sounds good…”
Already he was walking along, trying to rush Hide.
“Let’s go then…”
“Alright, then,” he said. Leaving the balloon festival to the park with them.
It didn’t take long to arrive at the park. Hide sat on the bench and sighed, he looked back at Kamimatsu, hoping they were alright.
“Are you fine now?” He asked.
“Yeah. There are no signs of balloons anywhere.” He leaned back and let out a long sigh.
“That really scared me!”
“Yeah, thank goodness no one was hurt, right?” He said. He paused, it was now quiet and he was trying to think of something to say.
“So…”
“…hm?” He tilted his head.
“Oh! Um…I still have some balloon cookies left. The sweeter side of a scary event memory.” He chuckled weakly, holding out the box of remaining cookies.
“Oh, you do?” He asked, “Well I guess we could finish them since there’s only a few left!” He said. They seemed better now, thankfully.
“Yes!” He took one cookie, nibbling it.
“I’ve noticed the park’s pretty empty…were there that many people at the balloon event?” Kami looked around, noting the silence.
