Kamimatsu was paying attention to the movie throughout the second half.
It was too amazing and too beautiful not to see. He hoped shadow found something entertaining.
Evidently, the only part of the movie that they found remotely interesting was the one where the computer tried to rebel against the astronauts. There was a certain amount of understanding from the dragon. They knew what it felt like to understand yourself as nothing more than a disposable tool.
The rest of the movie seemed to be nothing but esoteric garbage pretending to be deep. They regretted coming to this theatre. Everything about this experience was terrible but the popcorn.
Kamimatsu almost had a dizzy trip with that ending.
