((ahh thank you!))

1. I always start out with an mmd model as a reference. In this scenario, Miku is the volunteer. (fun fact: rin I use for kami, Kaito I use for Kara, and Luka I use for Yae!)

2. Next I do a quick dummy doodle of what I want the character to be doing or looking like.

3. Here’s when the mmd comes in handy. I do a sketch of the character, looking between mmd and sai.

4. MMD really is needed here, if not in the last step. I basically lineart the body.

5. Next I make a layer over the lineart to sketch out extras, like the face and clothing.

6. Then I add in the extras in the lineart layer.

7. fiddle around with the pressure of the lines, then go colour it in!
I hope this answers your question!
