1. Please, please, PLEASE if you find it and it isn’t secured to the forest floor, leave it there. Please don’t take it with you. There are thousands of Gravity Falls fans, with more and more continuing to discover and fall in love with it as we speak. Leave the weirdness of Gravity Falls for everyone to discover. We would all love to have a chance at going on an adventure of our own to find it.

2. Please don’t tell everyone the location of it. If someone asks for it, give them the answer privately. There’s no fun in having the mystery spoiled for you before you’ve even begun trying to solve it.

also a plea from someone who actually lives in oregon

if it really is in the wilderness then please be respectful. being kind to oregon forests takes priority over fandom. take only pictures, leave only footprints. dont litter, carve anything in to trees, write on anything, trample plants off of trails, etc. if its on private property than please respect that as well. the pacific northwest is already facing a desperate deforestation crisis so we have to take care of and be kind to the wilderness that is still here
