Jay wanted to maintain his suave style, and still hoped to be with the woman of his dreams.
Zane saw himself as older, meaning he still has that desire to fit in.
Kai looked more like his father, perhaps indicating that he wants to follow in his footsteps. Alternatively, he looked more like a blacksmith, perhaps indicating a desire to return to a more simple time or to something he was good at.
And Cole didn’t see himself. Maybe he just wants to dissapear.
